Peanut oil, cold-pressed

The Asian wok wonder oil

That which is a matter of course for Asian people has only recently made its way into European kitchens. Exotic peanut oil has so many different uses in the kitchen that many professional chefs have already learned to appreciate the nutty taste. This light yellow oil is accompanied by an intensively nutty flavor reminiscent of the nut snacks themselves.

The production process for peanut oil is very complex because the nuts have to be husked then dried for two to three weeks. Then the nuts find their way into the oil press. Peanut oil from Pödör is pressed freshly each day and is guaranteed not to contain any additives.

Uses for cold-pressed peanut oil

Peanut oil is of course not to be done without in Asian cuisine. Its intensive flavor which develops while roasting is just perfect for wok dishes with rice, vegetables and meat. Make way for the scent of Asia in your domestic kitchens!

Due to its high smoke point peanut oil is also ideal for frying many types of meat such as steak, ground beef patties or schnitzel. Its intensive flavor also enhances soups or steamed vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, spinach and Swiss chard.

Positive effects of peanut oil

The 44 percent polyunsaturated fatty acids and 37 percent monounsaturated fatty acids in peanut oil contribute to lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol. As the human body cannot produce these fatty acids itself they have to be consumed by way of nutrition. These fatty acids are essential for healthy metabolism.

The Vitamin E contained in cold-pressed peanut oil bolsters the immune system and protects from free radicals. The result is lovely, glowing skin.
